decided to walk down to the strip after the game to check out the 2009 Victoria's Secret Cocktail Dress Collection. I admired the new sidewalk as I crossed 22 Ave. but about that time some knucklehead started laying on his horn in bumper to bumper traffic. I also began to hear hollering. As soon as the honking stopped, I could hear the yelling. A cat on the sidewalk directly across the street was yelling,"Keep honking & see what happens next!" Pedestrian Rage! I walked another 10 blocks in "Leaving The Stadium" traffic & noone else honked their horn. Good Crowd!

had read for years about how a staple of the Indians' diet during the Seminole Wars was the root of a cycad called coontie. I got to see it growing for the first time last week in the flower beds around the Ranger's Office @ Camp Helen on Lake Powell near Phillip's Inlet. It's a beautiful plant with an incredible history. It was one of Florida's first natural resources exploited by the Americans when they began to arrive in Florida in 1813.

got some bad news from David Adkins this afternoon. His brother-in-law, Jay Scott, passed away this morning in PCB. Jay was one of the best sax players to ever come out of Dothan. He played sax on "I Love the Nightlife" by Alicia Bridges. It sold over four million . Jay also played with Dionne Warwick, Melissa Manchester, Alabama, Paul Davis and on Skynyrd's "What's Your Name."
