 "Populist candidate" is Farmer's Alliance, the third party. My great Grandfather ran in '92 for sheriff of Geneva County as the "Alliance Candidate". That was the first year that they made the ballot. Grandpa Gap lost but later two of his sons won all their elections for the same office.
