In anticipation of Tuesday night's (February 13) FIRST DAUPHIN ISLAND HISTORY & GEOGRAPHY TRIVIA CONTEST at WAVES, we have expanded our annotation of the Mobile Chamber of Commerce Committee On Nomenclature's description of each Dauphin Island street name's significance to Dauphin Island's long and colorful recorded past. This information along with the addition of a list of Dauphin Island place names will posted on the DAUPHIN ISLAND HISTORY BLOG. All trivia contest questions shall be based upon this body of knowledge posted on the Internet.
