Took this picture of my supper plate tonight because I guess old age has got me reminiscing, especially about my old "TUSCALOOSA HEAD" DAYS (circa: 1973-1979). We (the crowd who usually lived on 6th Street, 7th Street, 8th Street, 9th Street, 15th Avenue, 16th Avenue, 17th Avenue and Audubon) periodically had EPIC AFTERNOON CHICKEN BAR-B-QUES. Just like TODAY (we got these leg quarters for 35 cents a pound), DOMINICKERS were cheap and after an hour or 90 minutes of arguing about exactly how to cook the chicken, we generally got everybody fed by sundown like we did today on Dauphin Island.
