The Candymen's Dean Daughtry, Robert Nix and Rodney Justo are to the right of Roy Orbison in these photographs with Steve Marriott. http://www.teddwebb.com/showcase/where_are_they_now/rodney_justo.html
There is a possibility that John Rainey Adkins is in the first photo just to the right of Robert Nix.There is a possibility that Bill Gilmore of the Candymen is in the far right of the second photo. I believe these images were taken at the Finsbury Park Astoria on March 3, 1967.
email from Rodney Justo:
Well,I've been looking at Small faces stuff for an hour now.
When I was In the Candymen.we loved those guys.We did a tour of England where they were the co-headliners with Orbison ( an unlikely pairing, but not as weird as the other tour that was going on at the same time with Hendrix,The Walker Brothers and maybe even Englebert Humperdink on the same bill)
The Small Faces were a great bunch of guys who LOVED to have a good time.
A couple of us went to one of their sessions at Olympic Studios while they recorded "Get yourself together" ( I think that I played tamborine on it)
I ran into Ian McLagen "Mac" in London in a small hotel about 3 years ago and we stayed up for hours reminiscing about that tour,Orbison,Ronnie Lane,
He mentioned in his book ALL THE RAGE the trick that we played on Orbison the last night of the tour where we tuned his guitar up a while step to make it harder for him to sing.
As soon as he hit the first note on his guitar he turned around, looked at us and said "Sons a Bitches"
He was beautiful.

3rd March 1967........The Roy Orbison package tour of the UK kicks off at The Astoria. Also on the bill are The Small Faces, The Jeff Beck Group, The Settlers, Paul & Barry Ryan, PP Arnold and The Robb Storme Group.
John Gray states on Smiler – Rod Stewart web site:
The opening night at the Finsbury Park Astoria was a disaster for The Jeff Beck Group; mainly thanks to a power failure, which Rod swears to this day was instigated by Ian McLagan who was fearful the Beck group would steel the show! A furious Jeff Beck stormed off the stage, immediately sacked Rod Coons the drummer and announced that he was pulling the group out of the tour! Months of silence followed.
The tour also got off to a distressing start for The Settlers when a sneak thief got into their dressing room and stole their money. Cindy Kent said: "The thing is, we didn't have much money and the cash that was stolen was meant to pay for our digs and tour expenses. I can't remember how much it was, but it was a lot to us. Backstage at the Astoria was like a rabbit warren, with numerous stairways. As soon as Steve Marriott heard what had happened, he organised a collection from the other performers. It was very sweet of him and it saved the day for us."
